My name’s Matt. As you can see I’m not great at Photoshop, but I love fish (and dogs!)
As a fishkeeper myself I was often frustrated with the information I found online.
When I was new to the finer points of maintaining an aquarium, I found myself researching a lot online about diet, tankmates, plants, tank sizes, filtration, light, heat… you name it.
And while I was researching, I came across a lot of information that was either:
- Too vague
- Contradictory
- Overly technical
Sound familiar?
If so, you’ve come to the right place. While I’m no marine biologist, I love to research and organise information (and boy, does the information online need organising!)
So I started writing about fishkeeping to give others like me a head start cutting through the noise – each article at FishTopics.com is painstakingly researched to make sure that what you’re reading is a complete discussion of the topic.
My mission statement is to provide content that’s:
- Specific: the articles are aimed at the average hobbyist, so the advice is clear and doesn’t assume too much knowledge
- Comprehensive: where advice on a topic differs elsewhere online, the content explores both sides and helps you decide which option is right for you
- Accessible: no complicated terminology or jargon – from beginner to expert, everyone likes reading clear, easy-to-understand advice
I hope you enjoy it!
Matt
